This was an event for all the regions in the Gambia to train some students on how to build and program robots using scratch and Ev3 Robot. The program was supposed to last for 3 months but due to COVID-19 the program was shortened to 2 months. About 100 children applied for the program but about 35 children were shortlisted across the 6 regions in The Gambia. 5 participants were chosen from each of the regions except for west coast region in which 10 participants were chosen.
The program covered digital literacy as well as robotics. It started on the 23th of January and ended on the 29th of March 2021. Below are the number of participants from each region
West Coast Region - 10 participants
Kanifing Municipal Council - 5 participants
Banjul City Council - 5 participants
Lower River Region - 5 participants
Central River Region - 5 participants
Upper River Region - 5 participants
