STARTUP HUDDLE SERREKUNDA

Startup Huddle Serrekunda Chapter is a part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network which has 60 cities hosting the community session.The Hub Ltd is the Host and focal point for the Start-up Huddle Serrekunda. This chapter was launched in November 2022.

About The Program

The Startup Huddle monthly community sessions gathers together the entrepreneurs in the ecosystem across different sectors to come together to share ideas, discuss challenges and proffer solutions in their entrepreneurial journeys. So far Four Huddles were successfully hosted by the Hub Ltd in which business owners or entrepreneurs where invited to motivate startups.The first Startup Huddle Serekunda Chapter was  launched  on 4th November at The Hub LTD. With our guest, founder of Chopser's Omar Baldeh moderated by the founder of The Hub, Beran Dondeh Gillen. Omar Baldeh is the founder of Chopser , an art food ordering and delivery app.

The Second session of the Startup Huddle Serekunda Chapter was done on the  2nd of December, at The Hub. With our guest founders Mrs Fatou Manneh of Jelmah Herbella and Mr Jagan Njie Operations Manager at Innovarx. Moderated by Basiru Drammeh the Manager of The Hub.

 

  • Mr Jagan Njie, The operations manager at  Innovarx Global Health, a health tech startup with a  mission to transform healthcare delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa through accessible, affordable & innovative, patient-centred healthcare. 

  • Ms. Fatou Manneh of Jelmah Herbella, an agribusiness startup that processes locally grown herbs and cereals into teas, honey, herbal seasoning and baby food with a blended recipe that gives customers a unique taste and healthy diet. 


 

The  third session was on the  27th of January. Our speakers were Kaddijatou Singhateh , founder of S’like, a digital marketing company that provides marketing and help customers build their brands online  and Ndey Awa Ceesay, Founder of Nature’s Gift Care , a consumption and cosmetics brand that process moringa plants.

The 4th Startup Huddle event was on 17th of February 2023. The guest founders for the event were Mariama Johm of Afritaste and Baboucarr Njie of Outboost Media Analytics moderated by Hub Co-Founder and CEO, Beran Dondeh Gillen.

Mariama is the founder of  Afritaste, an agribusiness food processing company, registered in 2018 and located in Serekunda.
